A~A~A....That's what Mom call's them :). These are the sweet faces & voices that greet me at 7:30 in the morning for carpool with a big smile! A"good mornin sunshine"! The neighbor's that greet me with "MI...SSss CANDICE!!!", when I walk outside for something. As if I have made their day, just by walking outside :). Even though I'd love to believe I'm just somethin' special.. They really treat all of our neighbors this way :). Well they are moving this spring and they will surely be missed :(. So goes the military life. Before we say our goodbyes I wanted to capture them on a whim playing outside like any normal old day just being them. Love!

The airshow on Travis just happened to fall on Colson man's.. 5th birthday. The boy's and I really had so much fun! To think my baby is 5. A mixture of feelings. Happiness and thankfulness to have had him in our lives for the past five years. Sadness at how fast this life flies right on by.

Me: What do you want to be when you grow up? C: A firetruck man! Oh...oh....oh....no a cowboy (;)it changes daily)
Me: Yucky food? C: Spaghetti (??)

and after almost a year I feel our family is finally putting down some roots and getting settled. It's a little bit of a cliche saying but so very true for my family. Home is where ever the Air Force sends us. I can honestly say I love everything about this place.. minus that our extended family is on the other side of the country and Jason seems to go more than come. More than we would like (big cheezy smile from me here :)). When he is here though we have so many things to go see and do as a family. I still have Disney pictures to share from spring break. One thing I would really like to do this summer is to just get in the car and go. Seeing all the sites and soaking up all of the culture that this beautiful state has to offer. Even if it's just the kid's and I.

Okay so another big thing I love about this place is the people I have crossed paths with and made friends with. One new friend being Adrienne from Bella Baby Design. So talented this chick! These outfits are from her July 4th line. We had so much fun putting this shoot together. Make sure to go check out her shop from the link above. Growing way to fast

Yesterday when Reid was filling his water bottle for ball practice I walked over to hug him and suddenly realized he is TALLER than me! What? I'm 5'4 and 30. How in the heck did he get taller than me? I was just getting use to the fact that we were eye to eye. He turns 12 this month and will be headed into (~~6th grade~~7th grade) middle school next year. Oh my handsome sweet boy.. could you please slow down a little?

It rains so much here. From like October to right about now. I can't really complain too much we do have beautiful day's in between rain. The grass stays greener than green here all winter so it is beautiful to drive through on those few and far between sunny day's. Driving through the hillside is breathtaking. When we found out we were moving to California I was thinking overpopulated no place to move around living. I was so wrong :). Where this base is, we are sorta in like a bubble. We are right in between two smaller towns Vacaville and Fairfield. Surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. I really hope to get out soon and photograph this place we call home (for now;).

When we where home for Christmas I was able to spend time with my cousin Heather. I was so excited and a little nervous when she asked me to take a head shot for her because she was voted teacher of the year. I was nervous because she is also a photographer. She's the one who inspired me and helped me get started with photography. I called and emailed her almost every week. Wait, maybe everyday :). Question after question. She was always so easy to talk to and learn from. I'm not the least bit surprised that she is teacher of the year. So when were at my Granny Dorothy's the two of us ran outside like 20 minutes before the sun went down and froze our booty's off :)

Also while visiting with her she let me tag along for a shoot with a beautiful senior! Miss Kappi! I just love her name! She wan an absolute doll :)

I promise I still love you... We just needed a little break. XO me.

I've loved sharing photographs of my boy's. Also sharing photos of my wonderful family, friends and neighbors who have let me practice, learn and grow in my photography passion. It's really been a wonderful place for me to do that.

It's just that I feel like I'm not really much of a writer. I've made note of this a few times before but I make up and misspell word's ALL the time (sometimes on purpose.. sometimes not). I use smiley faces a whole lot. I'm also a wishy washy, dorky, scatter brain, silly girl ( yes, I like to still think of myself as a girl :) even though I'm 30) who laughs at her own self a little too often. Who in real life wishes she just could push rewind and delete/edit things that come out of her mouth. It's not mean things. You see, I'm sort of an open book and I love other people and their stories. What makes them who they are. I tend to ask too many questions and tell a little too much about myself. On here I've tried to simmer it down a little. But oh lordy in real life ;).

I've still been taking pictures almost everyday, but I've been posting less and less. So I guess you could say I have kind of been in a blogging funk. Not really knowing what to write about. What's really going on in that brain of mine(snicker,snicker,snort).:)

So all the babble above sorta has to do with me and my goals. In 2011 "goals" are my resolution(even thought it's now Feb:). Making a real effort to make and achieve them. Big and small.

A big goal for me is to stop making excuses. On here and in real life. To pee or get off the darn pot. I'm gonna try to blog atleast once a week. Regardless if I'm a writer or not. Even if it is a yahdeeyahdeeyah blahh blahh blahh. Or maybe even just a photograph. When I write, I'm really going to make an effort to try and write from the heart and just go ahead and be my wishy washy, dorky, scatter brain, silly girl self. Because being able to read through and see pictures of my family and friends from past months and years is something I really cherish and want to continue with.

These are pictures are from December. They were suppose to be for my Christmas cards that never came together :) We flew home to Florida for Christmas though, so everyone got to see the boys in real life. First attempt...

Second attempt. The best ones. It ended up being a last minute after school .. Me: "hurry up boys lets go behind the house and let me take just a few more. Pleassssse???" Reid: "Only if we can roll down that big hill first". :) Me: "go for it"!

We met the F family this summer soon after our move here. We were neighbors in lodging on base and now we're neighbor neighbor's :). Colson and there little guy became fast friends. Pretty convenient! Just makes the move that much easier. I've mostly blogged and taken pictures of my boys lately. So I was excited to be able to photograph some kiddos without very expensive (Reid!) bribery :) I think I've said it before.. but yep I bribe my boys. Anything from m&m's to xbox games. I know.. it's horrible. But it works! :)

Impossible Acres Pumpkin Patch.

Halloween. Colson was originally going to be Batman this year :). But unfortunately he has inherited my indecisiveness. Right before trick or treating he decided on Spiderman. Luckily the costumes all came out of his dress up stuff I bought for a couple of bucks at a JBF sale last year. So he comes running down the stairs to show off his mega spider biceps to brother only to discover Reid having his face painted by dad. Colson.."Just one miley face Dad?" ohhh puleeezee?"

So obviously change of plans again :) He was the coolest, cutest, happiest camo spidey man ever!

So we are all unpacked and moved into our new home! Just got back from the pumpkin patch and am listening to the boys holler at the Razorbacks! We are big Florida State fans but Jason is finishing his masters through University of AR so sooooieeee for now! Anyway happy to be home.

Okay so I have been an awful blogger. I think I'm back in my groove though. So get ready for a super long picture post of our drive from TX to CA. I mostly took pictures with my iPhone. It was just way easier since we drove separate cars and we walked like all over the place. So my big honking camera stayed in the car allot. Places we stopped..

The Cadillac Ranch :). Okay so I admit that I am a closet fan of Tori and Dean and watched an episode where they stopped to paint on their way to visit TX. I had like four cans of spray paint in my garage that could not be packed so this was perfect. The boys hands were neon green for a couple of days.

We have officially been living out of our suitcases for a month. With 30 more days to go! I can do this.. I can do this. Smiles all the way. Haha we will see(yah right). Seriously though..the lodging we are in on base is more than accommodating. It has a real kitchen, two bedrooms and housekeeping . Sold :)! All except for the wonky internet access. For real though.. think I might of had withdrawal symptoms for the first couple of weeks. For now all of the kinks have been worked through and I was able to take my mac out of the box and hook it up.

We should be moving into our house on the September 10th. Toes and fingers crossed X~X~X. The reason why it is taking so long is that when we moved here I quickly realized living on base would be the best thing for our family. We were lucky and were offered one of the new construction houses. As I'm sure you know the price of living in CA is a teensy bit HIGH. So for now here we are. Patiently waiting for our house to be finished :)

Jason and I had so much fun during our eight day trip from California to Texas! We were able to stop and stay with the boys at some amazing places during our move. Other than having my iphone and laptop I have not really been able to go through all of my pictures. For right now I'll just give you a piece of our life in a hotel. A lot fuzzy and grainy but.. sometimes I love grainy.

I am sooo behind on getting this up. He turned 11 in April. I know family is checking so I wanted to make sure it was posted before I pack up my second best friend mac. Reid says his paintball party was AWESOME! The boys had so much fun. It looks like they are dressed for winter when it was really actually hot outside. I'm sure you get that paintball's hurt! Instead of a hundred or so welts only a few:)

On a funny note that I have to add.... I was at a fellow photographer friends Dixie Dobbins house the next day. We had been emailing back and forth for awhile but this was actually the very first time we had met in person. So I'm sitting on her couch in the living room chatting away and in the mean time I found something in my pocket and was fiddling with it. Completely not paying attention. Guess what it was? A paint ball! Yep! Bright neon orange paintball! Oh and guess what else... It exploded all over her very clean very white carpet and couch! Thank the lord she remained calm while I ran around in panic mode:) Frantic that I ruined her carpet. It came right up though :) Shewww! Haha and after all that she invited me back over :) Anyway not only is she fun and forgiving (hehe) she is an awesome photographer! Check out the link to her blog above.

We had an early birthday/goodbye friends party for Colson. His official birthday is not until July but he has never had a party with friends so he turned 4 early this year :)

It has been forever since I last blogged so be prepared for tons of random photos from Memorial day weekend.

My husband J has been in training in San Antonio for the last few months but is able to come home most weekends. Stick a fork in me I am dunn! Honestly I should not complain. It's nothing like his deployments when we were stationed in Arkansas. He would be in Iraq for four months at a time. His Pilot training was stressful but atleast he was able to come home at the end of the day. Okay so now I'll get off my soap box :) Oh wait one more thing... I have like a gazillion things to do tho get ready for our move. I of course will procrastinate as much as possible and will probably be running around like a chickie with her head chopped off.

This weekend we really just hung out at the house. The boys had a camping trip in our back yard. It was impressive that all three of them actually made it through the night. In the back yard. On the ground. With a chance of being carried off by monster mosquitos. It was kind of a trial run. The tent they used was J's when he was a little boy in boy scouts. So now that it all worked out J says we are going to get a bigger tent for the whole family. Oh what fun :) I suggested we get a camper instead. Pllllllllllpppp! I am totally for getting down in the dirt. I've even been a deck hand on the back of my dad's charter boat (sorta). But the thought of sleeping on the ground in the woods without air conditioning. Umm.. we'll see :)

Our neighbors across the street had a barbeque. We made some new friends and the kids had so much fun!

a common occurrence for my little man

Notice the masking tape on his glasses. Poor child :) We make it into Deatherage optician's like every month. Due to some sort of malfunction created by this little turkey. I'm sure that when they see us coming through the door they are just thrilled. They really are the nicest people. They never give us any trouble about it. I believe the warranty has been used all up though:). So we are trying to make it to California before he gets a new set. Fingers crossed the earpiece does not fall off.

For the last couple of months we have had lunch playdates on Wednesday at the park right behind our house. I love this little park. It's like having a playset in my own back yard. I had grabbed my camera to take some shots of Mason and Max below and went ahead and chased the rest of the monkey's around for some more fun shots. Colson is gonna miss his pal's especially Airwee (Eri). These just make me smile.

Ohh the bluebonnets! Smile! I think they are one of my favoritist favorite thing about Texas. They are just gorgeous. All of the wild flowers are yummy around here. I took a gazillion pictures of them to take a part of Texas with me. Okay.. so I have a question though. Is it really illegal to pick them?? Ha! I had no idea until my son came home from school and informed me that I was a criminal :) So says his fifth grade teacher (that it is illegal not that I am a criminal). My youngest actually brought in a bouquet of them to his preschool teacher that morning. Now didn't I just feel smart? But... My very intellectual friend Jen sent me this article letting me know that we were both off the hook :) (since she was the one who made me do it). So I'd like to know what's the deal?

This is miss Keirian. Along with her mum (who is from Ireland and was a dancer in Lord of the Dance) I had to get that in there Lou :) She was my very first client :) I remember when I took this thinking oh my word.. I have no idea how I did that?? but I want to do it again :) It obviously did not hurt to have a beautiful baby. Taken a little over a year ago it is one of my absolute favorites so far.

When the very top picture was taken she was about to become a big sister. No longer a baby anymore she is now big sister to little miss Kinley. I took Kinley's newborn photos also. You can check those out if you want to here.

Believe it or not I have hardly any pictures of my boys together or any family portraits hanging on my walls. I have nothing that say's "we are a military family" hanging on my wall's either. I was thinking this would be a way to squeeze it in. So I'm on a mission before we move. I'd like to be able to hang something new up on the walls when we settle into our new house in California (wherever and whenever that may be:).

I found this flag painted on a wall downtown last year and have been meaning to take the boys for pictures there. It was a spur of the moment kinda thing. Neither of them were really dressed for pictures :)

They're a little posey cheesy looking, well allot posey cheesy, but believe me trying to corral Colson and keep Reid from being irritated with me and from giving me the "I'm bored can we get this over with so we can get whatever treat you have promised smile" (like the above picture)! It's a huge thing to accomplish.

Not completely what I have in mind :) But I got a few that may be frame worthy and I was able to play around with my new lens :)

Okay so by the end of this post you may be tired of my vacation pictures (last one I promise...I think?). I really did not realize how many great pictures I got of my boys. The trip last summer was sort of a trial and error with the beach photos. I still goofed this time on most but I love them all anyway. The only thing is that I wish I would have been in them more. Kinda hard without Jason. He was in training in San Antonio so he was not able to make the trip this time. We missed him terribly!

We stopped in Panama City to stay with my mother and father in law for a couple of nights. My sister in law Steph and her family flew in from Houston around the same time so we were all able to visit. Of course Steph and I went shopping at Pier Park on the beach :) It was short and sweet. Long enough to stop at a few shops and an early lunch at Reid's favorite BW3's. If you have every been to Panama City during "spring break" I'm sure you would understand why we were not there long. Nuff said :) These are some pictures from that day of the boys and my FaVoRiTe niece Lizzie:). I lived within walking distance to the beach when I was growing up and of course took it for granted. Most of my family has moved away from the coast and are more inland. So now when I go I feel like a real live tourist haha. These are some I took in Destin at Henderson State park. Beautiful!!! The water was freezin but of course they did not mind. It was a perfect day :)

After the beach we stopped at the spray park in Destin Commons to have some ice cream and to rinse the sand off.
Last stop... Pensacola beach with the Guy family! It worked out awesomely. They also are stationed here at Sheppard. They are very dear friends of ours and the kids are all very close. They were going to Disney for spring break and we kind of planned our trip so that we could cross pass when driving back. A great way to finish off our travels in Florida.

Here are some photos from our trip taken with my iPhone using the shake it app. I love how they turned out. So convenient! Especially at the beach :) I had my camera out for a little bit ( I'll post those soon) but was stressing over getting sand in it. So problem solved!

hole in the wall

One of the places we visited during our spring break trip was Apalachicola Florida. This is where my dad lives now. It was so nice for me and the boy's to be able to spend some time with him. I adore my dad :) He is the kindest man I have ever known. Another bonus bonus was that my aunt and uncle have recently opened a seafood market and steam bar in town. The neatest place!
Above.. eyes are painted by a local artist (Lynn Matty) into the "hole's in the wall" (knots in the wood). Below is what is carved into the tree (jeff+debi). This tree literally looks like it is growing out of the bar. So neat! My Uncle Jeff built the bar himself from river recovered dead head black, red and white cypress. The bar top is made from the walk boards out of the buildings attic. Through out the place, like in the tree, he has carved small love notes to my aunt Debi. How incredibly romantic is that?? An unbelievably talented and creative man.

The Raw Bar is located in the old Cook insurance building in downtown Apalachicola(first occupied in 1901). It was all recently renovated and decorated by my uncle Jeff. My photos so do not do it complete justice.

The kids ran in out... up and down..over and under.. from the moment we got there. They were closed the day we were in town so we had the place all to ourselves. My dad, uncle Jeff & Reid made us a feast for dinner. YUMM! Steak..Crab Legs...Shrimp...Cheese Grits...Baked Oyster's.. YUMM!! Oh I have to stop typing about it.
Aunt Debi decided it would be fun to play tourist and feed the seagulls in the middle of the streets. The boys had so much fun! They just adore her :) It's like she's some sort of munchkin magnet. All of the kids including me are that way with her. Well come to think of it I think everyone who she crosses paths with feels like that one way or another. She just has this grace about her.

I was able to do literally a five minute shoot while in Louisiana visiting family over spring break. This is my cousin Britt Is she not gorgeous?! Wish I looked this good at eight and a half months along. Cannot wait to see this beautiful baby girl.

We made a quick trip to Florida and Louisiana over spring break. Since we will be moving so far away this summer we tried to fit visiting with everyone in. I took my camera out maybe a handful of times this time around. Two days here two days there. Was fun and soo worth it. Although I am in need of a vacation after this vacation :) Can't wait to go through and share more pictures from our trip.

This is our Finnlea. I have a ball propped on the top of my camera for this shot. Any mention of: BALL, WALK, RUN, or SWIM and you have her undivided attention. Otherwise she was all over the place :) Definitely a lover of the snow.

After a couple of hours outside trying to help build the fort with his daddy. My little punkin looks like a drowned mouse.

I sat on the back porch with my cup of coffee and created this mini valentine snowman while the boys were out weathering the Texas snow storm :)

A few I did not get around to posting from our snow day's in December. When I say to him "you better not smile" I get the below left picture. Well now it's anytime I mention smile :}

I have not really been out on any shoots lately. I'll probably just be taking photos of friends and family until we move to Travis. I've truly been blessed to have met some of the most awesome people while living here. It has been one of the greatest experiences for our family. We have all grown so much.

This afternoon I was going through some photos from the past year and I found these two of Reid. I looooovvvee them! You can bet they both will be hanging on my walls. I love his 10yr old smile in this pictures and how you can see the freckles and the wrinkle across his nose that doesn't tan. He is the sweetest most tender hearted soul I have ever known. I am the luckiest mom in the world :)

To post without a picture is no fun. So here is my friend Ange's daughter miss L. They were over a few days ago and I got a few quick shots of her in for fun.
Ha! I just remembered and wanted to add that in the picture above she has a candy necklace around her neck. So the funny part is that she has an apple in her hand (not because of me might I add :) and a bag of freeze dried blueberries from Trader Joe's just outside of the picture. Which by the way she was totally content with eating. She had absolutely no clue that candy was dangeling around her neck. So close but yet so so far away. Next time she not looking miss L I promise :)

Now with his sweet little pouty face.

He makes me smile everyday. I am so thankful he is where he is now. A couple of years ago we were so worried for him. He seemed to hit his milestones all fairly quickly then all of a sudden at about nine months we noticed his eyes started to turn in and his development seemed to slow down. Of course I began researching online and was upset by all the disorders associated with his symptoms. We were finally able to get him in to see a pediatric opthamologist. He was diagnosed with strabismus and was fit with his very first set of glasses at 12 months. The poor little guy had to wear a patch over his stronger eye and also began therapy for his development. Even during his time in therapy he did not seem to make much of a leap. The opthamologist told us that we should consider a surgery to realign his eyes. As soon as we moved to Texas he was set up with an appointment with another ped's doctor in Dallas. He received the surgery a year ago next month. As soon as he was on the mend he just took off. It was the most awesome thing. It was like everything was new to him. All of the things around the house toddlers would be getting into that he hadn't even noticed before were now fair game :) Ha.. I had to childproof my house for the first time in a long time. He is in Pre k3 now and his teacher says you would never know he had any struggles.

This week we are going back to Dallas to have his eyes checked and to see if he needs a new prescription or even be able to be without glasses all together. Either way I am just so grateful!

I know!! It's just crazy man! Me and my boys have had so much fun the last week. When I first thought about being trapped inside for days, I thought... grr..rreatt???! I am a go go go kinda person. Luckily I had gone grocery shopping and bought wayy to many groceries a couple of days before. I of course had no clue we were about to have a snow storm :), and who would in Texas? It turned out to be the best Christmas ever. The boys got an X-box for Christmas. When I say boys I mean my husband and Reid. So my TV has been taken captive by them. Colson is still able to be convinced he is playing with the remote with no batteries. Now whats a girl to do?? No worries.. my friend Ange lended me two books a couple of weeks before. Twilight and New Moon! Can I just say perfect timing?! I could barely put them down. As soon as the ice was mostly cleared from the roads, off I went to the theater to see New Moon. So glad I read the books first. Well kinda.. I sorta cheated and went to see the movie before I was completely done with the book. I was afraid it was gonna snow again. Haha and I would be trapped. Unable to see Edward. I think I may have been the last girl on earth not sucked into this book. Okay so enough about that for now :)

I could not think of any other perfect time to take pictures of my monkey's. Both home from school and lots of snow!

So things are finally starting to settle down around here. My J graduated from pilot training this past weekend so now this long long year of craziness is starting to slow into a normal pace. We found out that we will be moving to Travis AFB in California after the kiddos are out for the summer. Travis is somewhere between ~~San Diego~~ San Francisco (I obviously have no clue where we are moving:) and Sacramento. I'm sooo soo excited! The best thing about the whole deal will be that Ikea is like 39 minutes from my house. Just kidding.. just kidding.. sorta :) I here there are tons of things to do in this area and I have never lived on the West coast before. Another really cool thing is that my mom and brother both live in California. My brother is in the Coast Guard and will live like thirty minutes away.

Okay so the picture above was going to be my holiday card this year :) (I purchased the template from sugarlimedesigns) But.. I was just too darn busy this time around. I saw this idea on couple of blogs last year and decided this would be a good year for our family to be green. :)

My very good friend Carla was in town recently. She was able to bring her oldest son M and littlest angel B with her. M was in kindergarten with my oldest and they have been buds ever since :) We had not seen them in over a year and during that time and after three boys they had their fourth baby miss B (a.k.a. love child). I was so thrilled to be able to meet her. B is so beautiful and just the best baby. Having them in town made me miss them even more. Staying up late with some good conversation and a glass of red wine (or 2) :) I feel so blessed to have met Carla a few years ago, she is the type of friend that you want to hold onto and treasure forever. Hopefully I will be able to make a trip up to AR soon so I can hang out with the whole bunch. Until then we will have to drink our cheer over the phone :)

We were near the air base and jets just kept flying over one after the other. C was so excited! He was more interested in the sky than me and my camera :) That's him above pretending to be an airplane. Boys.. boys..boys. I just love boys.

These guys are just so darn cute!! I have been talking to their mom about pictures since this summer when we first met. They're dad is in the same training program as my husband and the littlest guy C is in my C's pre-k3 class. Mom wanted to have some TEXAS photos to remember their time here at SAFB. This past saturday was my birthday. Ahhh.. I'm getting older. I'm 29. My last year in my 20's. It's funny cause I was talking to some girls at a birthday dinner about how you get older and wondering what is the exact age you start to feel wiser? I still feel like I know nothing about something. Anyway.. since most of my friends were gone for a good bit this summer my friend A had a front yard chilli fest to celebrate all of the birthdays of the summer. Just happened to be on my birthday :) I tried to catch pictures of most of the kiddos but I'm sure some dodged the camera:) Thank you all for a wonderful day!

I bribe my babies from time to time. Well most of the time :) This time fruit snacks. R is usually tempted by football cards:) My boys definately have caught the photog kids bug. My C by far is my hardest subject. Just marches to the beat of his own drum. I love the face he's giving in the above picture. Looks just like his daddy.

I have not really taken my little man out to take photos in a while. Never really took his 3 year old pictures. He turned 3 at the end of July so I'm not too far behind. I just love em! They are soo him. 60% mr. serious and 40% ham and sugar. It was just he and I diggin up dinosaur bones:)

Mr. B turned just turned one! Such a happy baby. His mom and I went downtown to take these in this hot Texas heat and not one complaint from this monkey:)He wasn't so sure about my silliness and rolling around on the ground but we found his magic favorite word "Daaee". One mention of daddy and he would just light right up and start belly laughing. So cute!

So this is another installment from my summer trip:) I'm tellin yah.. I took so many pictures and I know that my family has been checking regularaly for them :) We were in Florida for like a month and I had not made this trip in a loooonng time. Well overdue! It was so awesome because we were able to see soo many people. Julz (stepmom) was able to fly in from Ohio with my little sister and meet us in Orlando. First off my stepmom is an amazing woman! She has done such a wonderful job with M. She is a single mom and does it all on her own. I love you J! Okay so before I get all emotional... We went to SeaWorld! Fun but hot!! Did I say HOTTTTTT!!! Orlando in June??? And then @ 3 o'clock... it rained! Such a relief. We were then able to stay and enjoy the rest of the day. We even stayed for the last show "shamu rocks" and fireworks . After a couple of days in Orlando we headed back to Chipley and then on to Cape San Blas! I will post those pictures in a few days. But for now....

My baby got his first at home haircut Sunday afternoon. This is a big step for me :) I am usually very funny about my boys hair. My husband J convinced me to cut his hair and then he would cut C's hair. Thankfully it turned out just fine for both boys! So we are finally home! Me and the boys had tons of fun on our trip to Florida. We were able to see sooo many people near and dear to me along the way. I have so many pictures to go thru and share. So for the next couple of weeks I guess my pictures and posts about the month long trip will be kinda here and there. Kinda like me :) I think I'll start with........

On our way home from FL C and I dropped R off in Houston. Thanks to a wonderful gift from my Sister in law, my Mr. R went to Pine Cove with his cousin T. An overnight summer camp!! I'll have to admit I was a little anxious leaving him in someone else's care for a WHOLE WEEK ! I had to remind myself that I had to let him grow. That I can't just carry him around in my pocket forever. Sooo glad I did. He had a stinkin blast!! He and his cousin are only 2 weeks apart in age and had so much fun together as bunk mates. Definitely life long pals! But did I say how I missed his guts!! After camp my sister and brother in-law met us in Dallas with the kiddos @ the Great Wolfe Lodge. A must visit! Such a really cool place. Two days of indoor water park fun for the Roberts and Moon Family! No slide was left un-ridden. Then they came and stayed with us for a day back in WF (Yeah!!) . Of course I took my niece miss L on a tiny photo shoot. Who could resist those big blue eyes and cutie pie freckles. Just yummy!

I know totally cheesy title. What? There last name happens to be King:) These guys made a pit stop at our house on there way back to Tucson. Of course I had to get some shots before they were headed back out the door. I totally forgot to take a picture of all of our kids together. Oh well, maybe next time. We met this family when my husband was in Nav school and somehow 5yrs later we have managed to keep in touch and see each other at least once a year. When we first met we were both families of 3. Boy has that changed. Little miss K was about the same age as her baby sister when we first met them. She has just grown into a beautiful little girl. Thank you Bekah for stopin in! I decided it was time to buy the yearly blow up pool. We get a new one or maybe a few every year cause the dog or somebody bites a hole in it. I love how they can still play together. There is such a big age gap that I was always worried that they would not be that close. Soo not true. My older one adores and is protective of the little one and the little one can't get enough of his big brother. I hope it stays like this forever. I could take pictures of them everyday:)

My little C goes to Mothers Day Out at a church downtown and one of his teachers asked me to photograph this fun day. (Until I have all of the parents permission I've decided not to post pictures of the other kiddos.) It's a whole nother ball game when running after eight 2yr old's, trying to catch them in action with my camera. Was fun though, and the pictures turned out AWESOME! This day was filled with water, dirt, bubbles, popsicle's, paint and anything else a toddlers heart could desire. Most importantly C was also able to express himself artistically in a more appropriate manner. The train on his face was reviewed in the mirror possibly 20 times, as if it were gonna chugga chugga choo choo right off his face :) and he threw a fit when he realized it had been washed off at bath time! In case you are wondering where C's glasses are well.. his brand new pair were getting repaired and his backup pair are MIA :)

Last week I was given the pleasure of photographing Baby K and her big sister. It has been quite some time since I've held a new little munchkin. They just smell so yummy! Both Mom and Dads parents were in town to visit. It was just neat to see all of the love that was in this house. Again I am soo thankful that I get to grow and learn as a photographer with such beautiful people.

So my R has waited a whole 3 days past his real birthday to party! This age is soo fun! They pretty much laughed and goofed off the whole time (until 1 a.m:). I did not take any pictures of them playing flashlight tag, but that went on till about 10. I'm sure the neighbors were diggin that.

A few days ago our neighbors brought a sweet suprise! It was totally unexpected! Now I just have to figure out how to return the favor :) Any suggestions? Moving over to the new housing was such a good decision even though we do miss our neighbors in the other housing . I think we have just been lucky! We always get the best neighbors, minus the sketchy renters next door in AR who helped me decide on an alarm system. Even in that house though we met some really ~~good~~ AMAZINGLY SPECTACULAR!!! people (whatup ~~J-Lo~~ Andre, Jennifer, Taylor, Anthony & Lauren Lopez!! Is that better?):P.
